A note on Kintsugi

"Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, rather than camouflaging the cracks. The breaks become part of the journey."

Just like life — we do not have to hide or shy away from our brokenness. We can see the beauty in how we have repaired, healed, and transformed ourselves. Together, we can fuse your cracks with knowledge and practice, then step back and look at the art you have made.

My Practice

Many times I have found myself in the dark.

Realizing how stuck you are can feel consuming and impossible to fix. But every time, I have learned how to find myself and feel the light again. That first glimmer of a good feeling is where a new beginning starts.

We all arrive at points where life feels out of alignment, for different reasons and in different ways. This may show up as a hormonal imbalance that affects mood and energy, a quiet depression that slowly builds, a relationship that no longer feels supportive, a loss that changes everything, or a work environment that slowly wears us down. And sometimes, nothing is “wrong” at all, we simply sense that life could feel more meaningful, more connected, more intentional, or more fully our own.

Kintsugi Life & Wellness is here for all of it.

This practice is about learning how to return to yourself and continually evolve into the most grounded, clear, and fully expressed version of who you are, no matter where you start. Whether you are rebuilding, recalibrating, or refining an already stable foundation, the goal is the same: to support you in becoming more aligned in your mind, body, and life.

My Approach

Honesty, accountability, and action.

Kintsugi Life & Wellness is built on the belief that meaningful growth requires honesty, accountability, and action. This is not a passive process. The clients who experience the greatest transformation are those who are willing to ask hard questions, face uncomfortable truths, and actively engage in their own growth.

Our work begins before our first session, with a comprehensive intake questionnaire that establishes a full-picture understanding of your life across emotional, mental, physical, and environmental factors. It runs through roughly 160 questions and takes about an hour, and it’s meant to be done on your own time, outside of paid session hours, so our coaching time is spent fully on insight, reflection, and meaningful work rather than background gathering.

You can work through it at your own pace, and your progress is saved so you can return to it as needed. The fuller the picture, the more clearly we can identify patterns, clarify goals, and determine where meaningful change is actually possible and sustainable.

Once the intake is fully submitted, you’ll then be able to book your first coaching session. This ensures that when we begin working together, we can move directly into deeper, more focused coaching from the very start.

Before each session, you'll complete a pre-meet form that reflects on your experience since our last session, including your emotional state, key events, shifts, challenges, and areas of focus. This ensures I have a clear, current understanding of where you are before we meet. The pre-meet form also allows me time to prepare, conduct research, gather resources, and tailor our session to your specific needs. This ensures our time together is focused on progress rather than catch-up.

Following each session, you'll receive personalized notes, action steps, goals, resources, and homework designed to support continued growth between meetings. Because real change happens through consistent practice, much of the work occurs outside of our sessions.

Clients also receive access to a personalized online dashboard where they can track goals, view progress, review session history, and manage their schedules. In addition, clients gain access to a weekly wellness newsletter featuring research, insights, tools, and resources to support ongoing learning and personal development.

This work is highly individualized. Depending on your goals and needs, we may integrate support beyond traditional coaching frameworks, including collaborating with naturopathic providers for hormonal testing and physical optimization, exploring modalities such as acupuncture or body-based therapies for stress and pain regulation, and implementing practical lifestyle shifts such as reducing exposure to environmental toxins in the home, improving sleep systems, nutrition habits, and daily routines. Each client's path is different, and the tools we use are intentionally selected to best support your specific situation.

My commitment is to show up prepared, informed, and invested in your growth. Your commitment is to show up willing to do the work. Together, we create meaningful and lasting change.

Core Offering

A practice shaped around the whole of you.

Each session is a fully personalized one-on-one guidance experience designed to meet you exactly where you are. Sessions are not limited to a single method or category. Instead, we work with what is most present in your life in real time and shape the experience around that.

This can include emotional processing, life reflection, mindset work, lifestyle changes, holistic wellness support, habit formation, and reconnecting with activities and rhythms that bring meaning and stability into your life. The scope of this work is intentionally wide because real life is interconnected. What affects your emotions often affects your habits, your body, your environment, and your sense of direction all at once, and we work with the full picture rather than isolating a single piece.

Examples of what may naturally come into sessions include processing relationships or past experiences, creating structure in your daily routine, exploring movement or grounding practices like walking or time in nature, adjusting nutrition or supplement support, building simple self-care rituals, or identifying new hobbies and lifestyle anchors that bring joy and purpose.

This can also include actively introducing new hobbies or experiences as part of the work itself. In some sessions, we may explore something together for the first time, such as hiking, meditation practices, yoga, skiing, creative activities, or other grounding or enjoyable experiences. These sessions are not only reflective but experiential, allowing you to build real connection with new parts of life rather than just talking about them.

Sessions can take place in a setting that feels most supportive to you. This may be in your home, where your environment can be part of the work, or in another comfortable space such as a walk outdoors or over coffee. Being in your home allows us to work directly with your real environment and daily rhythms, which often brings clarity about what needs to shift in a very practical and grounded way.

Over time, sessions may build on one another or stand alone depending on your needs and season of life.

About

Hi, I'm Kaylea.

I am a holistic life and wellness guide with a background in psychology. I had the pleasure of growing up in Maine, and in 2023 I moved to Montana and immediately fell in love. I knew I could never leave.

In the spring of 2025 I graduated from Husson University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a concentration in Psychotherapy and a minor in Animal-Assisted Interventions. After graduation, I knew I needed to build my own practice to fully live out my approach to helping people.

The field is shifting toward integrative, whole-person work, and I am carving out space for a practice that blends psychology, wellness, and personal growth. I guide others in nurturing every part of themselves — mental, physical, and spiritual — so the life you build feels balanced, fulfilling, and deeply your own.

Animal-Assisted Interventions

And then there is Bennie.

I am grateful to have minored in Animal-Assisted Interventions during my studies. Because of that, I can confidently bring my golden retriever, Bennie, into my practice — offering comfort, support, and quiet companionship to my clients and to me.

Over a year and a half I studied the effects of a canine's presence in this work, and trained Bennie in line with those requirements. She is a smiling (yes, she truly smiles), cuddly girl, and she makes everyone around her a little happier. She joins sessions whenever possible, or by request.

They are responsive and interactive, shaped by the group's needs and by what is most present in the moment.

On Spirituality

"Spirituality is not religion. It is a path for us to generate happiness, understanding, and love, so we can live deeply each moment of our life. Having a spiritual dimension in our lives does not mean escaping life or dwelling in a place of bliss outside this world, but discovering ways to handle life's difficulties and generate peace, joy, and happiness right where we are, on this beautiful planet."

A note on this work

I am not a licensed therapist and do not provide clinical mental health treatment, diagnosis, or care. My services are life coaching and wellness guidance designed to support personal growth and lifestyle changes. I am not a licensed medical provider; guidance shared in sessions is educational and intended solely for wellness support. Always consult a licensed professional before making medical decisions.

Life coaching, not therapy

I draw on principles from psychology and evidence-based techniques to help clients explore challenges, gain insight, and make meaningful change. Coaching supports personal growth, goal-setting, and life challenges, but it is not a substitute for therapy or medical care. If you are seeing a therapist, my work can complement theirs — with your consent, I can collaborate with them. If you do not have one, I am happy to connect you with a licensed professional. By engaging in coaching with me, you acknowledge that this service is not therapy and that I am not liable for mental health outcomes.

Confidentiality

Your privacy matters deeply to me. Everything we discuss is held in confidence, with exceptions only as required by law to ensure safety (such as risk of harm to yourself or others). Sessions held in public spaces — like coffee shops — may limit privacy, so for sensitive topics a private setting is recommended.
